FBI agent H. Paul Rico was indicted for murder in the State of Oklahoma concerning the Roger Wheeler Murder.Agent Rico while awaiting trial died in State Prison custody. Moreover,  H. Paul Rico also was found by State and Federal Courts and Congress to have solicited perjuries testimony from informant Joseph Baron “The Animal” Barboza,who help set up four innocent men Peter Limone ,Joseph Salvati, Louis Greco and Henry Tameleo for the murder of a local small time criminal named Edward “Teddy” Deegan. The murderer of Deegan was hit man Vincent Flemmi who is the younger brother of Stephen “the Rifleman” Flemmi. FBI agent Rico and his superiors not only knew who killed Deegan, they stood silent while innocent men sent to prison for this gangland hit that FBI informants: Vincent Flemmi and Joseph Baron “The Animal” Barboza committed.

As the records also reflect that years later the truth came out. J. Edgar Hoover allegedly knew informant Vincent “Jimmy The Bear”Flemmi allegedly murdered seven men but still shielded him and let four innocent men take the fall for one of his murders (Edward “Teddy” Deegan). Hoover was also very close to H. Paul Rico.Barboza, in his false testimony, put Joseph Salvati in Vincent Flemmi’s place at the Deegan murder and also accused three other innocent men, Peter Limone, Henry Tameleo and Louis Greco.Salvatti spent thirty years in prison for a murder HE DID NOT COMMIT, his sentence was commuted in 1997.Limone narrowly escaped the death penalty and was released from prison after serving 33 years for a murder HE DID NOT COMMIT when prosecutors dropped the case, in 2001.Greco died in prison an innocent man in 1996.Tameleo died in prison an innocent man in 1985.

The Assistant District Attorney on the Deegan murder case, Jack Zalkind, stated: that the FBI his information from him, and  aided and abetted the false testimony of their witness Barboza. Paul Rico and his superiors not only knew who killed Deegan, they stood silent while innocent men sent to prison for this gangland hit that FBI informants: Vincent Flemmi and Joseph Baron “The Animal” Barboza committed.

The four innocent men wrongfully convicted received a cash payment reward for their pain and suffering Peter Limone, Joseph Salvati and the estates of the deceased who died in prison Louis Greco and Henry Tameleo were awarded in the amount of $101.7 million by U.S. District Judge Nancy Gertner in Boston on July 26, 2007.  This case was also investigated by Congress.They found that the  United States Department of Justice and the Boston FBI were culpable in the egregious misconduct.
